More about Ron:

Poteat retired in 2022 after a 42-year career with Regions Bank, where he most recently served as Area President for North Alabama. Since then, he has consulted with Ironline Advisors and joined the Board of Directors of Merit Bank. His career also included senior leadership roles in retail banking, customer experience, and market development across North Alabama. 

Beyond his professional career, Poteat has a long record of civic engagement. He currently serves on the Alabama State Banking Board, the Huntsville Industrial Development Board, the UAH Foundation Board of Trustees, the Huntsville Rotary Club, and as Chair of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce Foundation. He is also a member of the Huntsville Committee of 100 Board of Directors.
