Join us for a 12@12 with the new Chief Meteorologist at WHNT News 19, Danielle Dozier. She will share with us about her career path in broadcast meteorology, some of the crazy weather she has tracked along the way, how she became a Chief Meteorologist and her leadership role with WHNT.

About Danielle Dozier:

Chief Meteorologist Danielle Dozier joined WHNT in October 2021. She holds the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society. She is also on the AMS board of directors for broadcast meteorology, where she helps other meteorologists attain their CBM.

Danielle most recently worked in Pittsburgh, where she won a Pennsylvania Associated Press award for severe weather coverage and was nominated for an Emmy for coverage of flash flooding. She’s also worked in Indianapolis and Oklahoma City.

It was in Oklahoma City where she was a part of a team that won Best Morning Show from the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters in 2012. She was nominated for an Emmy for coverage of an EF-5 tornado that hit the area in May 2013. Danielle is also a storm chaser and has witnessed many tornadoes.
