Description

LGH alumni and current class members, join us for our next professional development workshop: Navigating Difficult DE&I Conversations in the Workplace. This 1-hour training is designed to provide participants with essential skills and strategies to navigate challenging Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) conversations in the workplace. The focus will be on fostering a respectful and inclusive environment where difficult topics can be discussed constructively.

Key Objectives:

  • Recognize why navigating difficult DE&I conversations is essential for fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace.
  • Learn to identify challenges such as unconscious bias, privilege, and microaggressions that can arise during DE&I discussions.
  • Acquire strategies for active listening, framing conversations, and managing emotions to facilitate effective and respectful DE&I discussions.
  • Practice handling difficult DE&I conversations through scenario-based exercises, enhancing confidence in addressing these issues in the workplace.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and openness in discussing DE&I topics within the workplace.
